Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in the D+C Weekend?
Day 1 — RKC D-Certification: Seven fundamental kettlebell exercises, four key positions, open class methodology, group programming system, and a 100+ page manual. Test: 100m Farmer Walk.
Day 2 — RKC C-Certification: Hardstyle Swing and Turkish Get Up in depth, systematic coaching methods, hardstyle breathing, and training program design with a 100+ page manual. Tests: Turkish Get Up technique test + 100 Hardstyle Swings in 5 minutes.
Do I need the D-Certification before taking the C-Certification?
Yes. The C-Certification builds on the D-Certification fundamentals — you cannot take the C without completing the D first. The D+C Weekend package lets you complete both in order over a single weekend.
What are the certification tests?
D-Certification: 100m Farmer Walk — carry two kettlebells (combined weight based on your bodyweight) for 100 meters without setting them down.
C-Certification: Turkish Get Up technique test (one complete TGU per side) plus the RKC 100 Swing Test (100 two-handed Hardstyle swings in 5 minutes). Test weights: Men 24 kg (53 lb) / Women 16 kg (35 lb).
What if I don't pass a test at the workshop?
You can submit a video test within 90 days of the workshop. The video must be one uncut recording from a side angle with the kettlebell and your entire body fully visible. Upload as an unlisted YouTube video and submit the link to your workshop instructor.
For the D-Certification Farmer Walk, controlled test abandonment (setting the kettlebells down safely) may be retried at the workshop leader's discretion — potentially the same or next day. Otherwise, retesting is permitted after a minimum 8-week waiting period.
Is equipment provided?
Yes, kettlebells will be provided for practice during the workshop. However, these kettlebells are not included in the price of the certification.
Is there an alternative to the Farmer Walk for medical reasons?
Yes. Participants with documented medical limitations may complete a 60-Second Hang test instead, with workshop leader approval requested at least 2 weeks in advance. This is a compensatory solution for medically justified cases only — not an optional alternative.
What is the cancellation policy?
Workshop sites may be cancelled up to 7 days prior to the beginning of the scheduled workshop session for any reason. When a workshop is cancelled or postponed, candidates will be notified immediately and will receive a complete refund of all workshop fees or be allowed to transfer at no penalty to the new dates or another course of their choosing. RKC is not responsible for any expenses (travel or lodging) incurred beyond the registration fees.
